  • If you wish, I will suggest your daily or weekly meal plan, prepare your meals and leave you with all cooking instructions.  If you prefer that I cook once in a while, this can be arranged as well.

WHAT DOES IT COST TO HIRE A PERSONAL CHEF?

The Kitchen Sink (the works)

  • We have a consultation to determine your taste preferences, dietary needs/requirements and your typical weekly schedule.
  • Based on the consultation, from the meals schedule required, I will then recommend a menu with customized recipes for the week
  • I do all of the required grocery shopping
  • I prepare your fresh lunches and/or dinners, portions of each as determined, in your home and leave everything into the fridge ready to serve, or to cook/heat and serve!
  • All meals are left with detailed instructions and best before dates, as well as some suggestions for what to do with leftovers
  • I do all of the dishes and clean your kitchen before leaving

The cost

All rates must be customized for your needs and requirements.  However, here is an example of what can be expected.

Typically the fees are established based on the number of weeks, the daily meals and portions required, as determined at the time of the consultation.

Let’s assume that you will need 5 dinners, for a family of 4 and 5 school lunches per week.

This would typically take me four hours per week to prepare, (two visits of two hours) which includes shopping, travel to your home within a 25km radius, storage and clean up.

Based on $35 per hour for a long term program, the cost would be $140 per week, + groceries and applicable taxes on service.
  
Grocery costs are not included in the cost of the service.  However, I buy the groceries and you reimburse me.

Unfortunately, they are the cold hard facts !

This equates to as little as $99.60 per week
for your Personal Chef at home preparing your meals

Note: the applicable taxes are to be added.  
         The groceries are paid separately using the purchase slips from suppliers and grocery stores.

WHAT DOES IT COST TO HIRE A PERSONAL CHEF? part 2



The hourly ‘In-House’ meal preparation, preference

If you aren't ready to commit to a full time meal preparation business plan, hire me by the hour.

All rates are customized to your needs and requirements.  

However, here is an example of what can be expected:

  • Two-hour minimum commitment during which, typically, I can prepare three full dinners which includes the shopping time.
  • Everything will be packaged and labelled with expiry dates and heating and serving instructions.
  • Your kitchen is always clean when I'm done!

The cost

Typically, between $90 and $135 for two hours must be considered depending on travel time.  Then, $45/hour for each additional hour is required depending on the term of the agreement and location.  A deposit may also need to be discussed.

Grocery costs are not included in the cost of the service.  However, I buy the groceries and you reimburse me.
